Summers are here! How do you normally beat the heat in the Summers? Cold Drinks? Soda? Un-real Juices? There are lots of ways but how about a more natural way?

Keri ka Paani or Aam Panna is a much healthier way to beat the Summers and avoid Dehydration. In these times of DIY, why not ditch the preservatives and make something healthy and natural at home?
So here I am sharing with you an easy to make drink using Keri or Kachha Aam or Raw Mango! It's tangy, sweet and super cool!

Aam Panna Recipe

  • Raw Mango । केरी - 4 medium
  • Ginger । अदरक - 1'' inch
  • Black Pepper Corns । काली मिर्च - 7-8
  • Cumin Seeds । जीरा - 1 tsp
  • Seeds of Green Cardamom । हरी इलायची के दाने - 3
  • Black Salt । काला नमक - 1 tsp
  • Salt । नमक - 1 tsp or as per taste
  • Jaggery Sugar । शक्कर - 1/2 cup
  • Mint leaves । पुदीना  - few sprigs + few for garnishing
  • Water । पानी - 3-4 cups
  • Ice Cubes - few for Serving


  1. Wash the Raw Mangoes (Keri) well in running water and peel the Ginger.
  2. Put the whole Raw Mangoes and Ginger in a Pressure Cooker with1 cup of water and take 3-4 whistles or until fully cooked!
  3. Once pressure released, take the Mangoes and Ginger out and let them cool down for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Dry roast the Cumin Seeds and Black Pepper. 
  5. Wash the Mint Leaves properly to remove any dirt particles.
  6. Once the Mangoes cool down, separate the pulp and discard the seeds and skin.
  7. In a blender jar, take Mango Pulp, Ginger, Mint Leaves, roasted Cumin and Black Pepper, Green Cardamom seeds, Jaggery Sugar, Black Salt and blend to a smooth paste.
  8. Take the pulp in a bowl, add the White salt and water. Mix well and taste for seasoning. Adjust the sugar and salt as per your taste.
  9. Keep in fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.

Dry Roast the Cumin Seeds and Black Pepper

Boil the Raw Mangoes and Ginger and let them cool down completely.

Roasted Cumin Seeds and Black Peppers

Take the Mango Pulp, Mint Leaves, Ginger, Black Salt, Seeds of 3 Cardamom Pods & Roasted Cumin Seeds and Black Pepper in a blender to make a smooth paste.

Take out the pulp in a bowl and add Water and Salt. Mix well and let it chill in Refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
